Technical Information

The HP Female Assembly, part of the Steam Couplings range, is a coupling system designed for steam and high-pressure compressed air. This reusable, rugged coupling series can be fitted or re-attached in the field without special equipment. The ½” steel HP female assembly is made up of a ½” female stem (GJS), a ½” female threaded spud (GJFS), and a ‘knock-on’ swivel nut (SN).

Special Features

Female stem features a multi-serrated tail and collar for a safety clamp. The spud has a ‘coned seat’, which is fitted with a copper/brass insert. The swivel nut is of robust construction to withstand abuse and provide the ‘knock-on’ facility for connection and disconnection without spanners.

Applications

HP Coupling Systems are designed for steam and high pressure compressed air and other high pressure hazardous applications requiring a safety coupling and clamp assembly. This reuseable rugged coupling series can be fitted or reattached in the field without special equipment. Widely used in oil refineries, chemical plants and other factories using steam as an essential service. Used for compessed air ( especially in larger sizes), in quarrying , mining, pile driving as well as other service duties. Also used for LPG, grouting, volitile liquids and similar applications.
