Innocent Drinks A Drylink Case Study

Action Sealtite supplied 3” Internally polished DryLink Couplers and Adaptors with FDA approved EPDM seals and triclover end connections to the innocent drink blender factory.

What was the initial query from the client?

innocent drinks, the healthy drinks manufacturer, have completed the construction of a carbon-neutral drinks factory in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The new factory, named ‘the blender’, will produce more than 300 million litres a year.

The loading units for the trucks required transfer solutions. Specifically, they were looking for a hygienic dry disconnect coupling solution for effective loading and unloading of road tankers.

 What were their requirements?

The client’s requirements were centred around a completely hygienic fluid transfer solution which is handleable, easy to use and with a high flowrate. The valuable product running through the line needed to be completely isolated.

What was the process in fulfilling their request?

After the initial enquiry our technical sales advisor discussed the application in full. To specify the correct solution we need to know full working conditions, from working pressures, seal compatibility and how and where the Couplings will be used.

 What did we supply?

3” Internally polished DryLink Couplers and Adaptors with FDA approved EPDM seals with triclover end connections.

 Main benefits for the client:

The huge saving on transfer time, spillage and reduction on maintenance downtime has meant the operations at innocent drinks is safer for employees and efficient.

Drylink meets the highest hygiene industry standards as the split butterfly valve design polished bore avoids dead spaces or crevices which trap bacteria.

This unique valve design vastly improves the flowrate, increasing efficiency – saving time and money.
