IBC Adaptors
The standard buttress thread output on the bottle or valve is based on the German DIN standard DIN 6131:1989. By using buttress female-threaded adaptors, you can quickly convert any IBC valve into a cam coupling system, a threaded end, or direct use with various-sized hoses. This can normally be achieved easily and with just one adaptor.

IBC Valves
Most IBC tanks discharge through a buttress-thread ball valve, and a worn or damaged valve is one of the most common causes of leaks. Action Sealtite supplies replacement IBC ball valves in S60x6 and other standard buttress threads, along with the adaptors to convert the valve outlet to a camlock, threaded or hose-tail connection. How to Select the Right Fitting
The most important step in choosing the right IBC fitting is to measure the thread size of your tank’s valve first. The sizes of IBC threads can be:
S60x6
S75x6
S92x4
S100x8
The size of your IBC tank’s threads will ultimately determine which fittings you can use. Be sure to bear this in mind when selecting an IBC fitting or adaptor.
Then you must consider the attachments required for your specific application. For example, using the Garden Hose IBC kit lets you connect your IBC tank to a standard garden hose. Alternatively, using an IBC adaptor can convert the valve into various coupling or pipe systems. If you have any doubts, contact a member of our team to discuss your requirements.
