Quick Release Couplings

Quick couplings, also known as quick release or quick disconnect couplings, provide a fast, tool-free connection between two lines wherever they need to be joined and separated quickly, smoothly and repeatedly. One half is usually fitted to a flexible hose, letting operators connect and disconnect in seconds without spillage or downtime.

Each quick coupling is made up of two mating parts: a female half, known as the socket, coupler or coupler body, and a male half, known as the plug or nipple. Many include an integral valve that seals the line automatically on disconnection, which is essential for air, hydraulic and fluid transfer applications.
